Zynga Is Still Profitable, Made $12.5 Million In Third Quarter Off $307 Million In Revenue

Zynga made $12.5 million in the third quarter this year — down 54 per cent from $27 million in the third quarter last year — off $307 million in revenue, according to an updated S-1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.That’s an 80 per cent increase in revenue year-over-year for the third quarter.

It’s also significantly better than Zynga’s second-quarter performance. Zynga’s profits were down 90 per cent year-over-year for the quarter ending June 30 when Zynga only made $1.4 million off $280 million in revenue.

Zynga had 2,789 employees at the end of September, up from 2,543 employees at the end of June.

Zynga’s player count dropped from the 228 million that it reported when it first filed to go public in July to 227 million.
