It looks like Apple just poached a top employee from Yahoo.Adam Bechtel, the VP of infrastructure at Yahoo, is reportedly leaving for an “unspecified” position at Apple, according to Kara Swisher at AllThingsD.

Bechtel joined Yahoo in 2003 after the company acquired Inktomi Corporation where he was in charge of networking. Before that, Bechtel worked as the CTO of CAT Technology.

Bechtel is just the latest Yahoo executive to flee the company now that Marissa Mayer has taken over. Yahoo’s former interim CEO Ross Levinsohn quit earlier this week and so did the company’s VP of North American sales Mark Grabowski.

While it’s unclear why Bechtel in particular chose to leave, one anonymous Yahoo employee told Swisher that, “A lot of us just can’t take another restructuring.”

This isn’t the first high-level employee that Apple has snatched up from Yahoo. Last October, Apple poached Yahoo’s data centre chief Scott Noteboom to help with its push into the cloud.
