At over 100 years old, the sailboat Moonbeam of Fife III has seen and done it all.And now, thanks to Boat International, you can dock it at your local marina for just $3.3 million.
Moonbeam of Fife III was completed during 1903 in Scotland. She was designed by William Fife, who comes from a long line of Scottish yacht builders.
She does have a generator and diesel engine on board to bring in some modern comforts, but we are enthralled by the old world craftsmanship.
While other yachts are designed to appear antique, this one actually has the patina to prove it.
Those looking for easy luxury should look elsewhere. Moonbeam of Fife III sticks to her traditional roots. Owners have not added hot tubs, elevators, pool tables, or other luxuries over the years.
But what you do get is a finely crafted 99 foot oak sailing ship with room to sleep four. You will also be receiving the biggest conversation piece in the entire marina.
During strong winds, she is sure to keep all on board active. Also, be sure to use sunscreen, there is no shade to be found.
The mahogany construction does a lot, as we were expecting this to be much darker and more foreboding.
