Yesterday, Business Insider featured some of the best public restrooms in America as screened by Cintas. However, I couldn’t help but share a photo I took of a men’s restroom I used in September 2009 while on vacation in Miami, Florida.
It was behind an Italian restaurant called the Soprano Cafe on South Beach’s popular Lincoln Road.
Fortunately, the restroom was clean.
But the design was so stunningly idiotic that I had to step back and take a photo.
If you don’t understand what’s going on here, imagine trying to use that urinal. There are no camera tricks involved.
I’m guessing that the contractor didn’t see his mistake when he initially drew up the plans. And he couldn’t have been that terrible at his job. Just look at how good the tiling and grout work is.
I only wonder what his reaction was when he found his elbow in the urinal while installing the sink.
Having said all that, the fettucine alfredo at the Soprano Cafe was rich and amazing. I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos.
