Woolworths is launching a collectible Christmas Pop-Outs series, the supermarket’s answer to the Little Shop sensation by rival Coles.

The pop-outs feature 12 Christmas-themed buildable cardboard characters, including Santa, Reindeer, Elves, Gingerbread Man, Snowman and more.

Starting tomorrow, they come with every $30 they spend on eligible purchases in store or online.

Three characters will be released each week, for the next four weeks.

A Christmas Tree Stand, available for $3, is designed to house the characters and can also be used as a decoration.

“Our team has also spent a great deal of time ensuring that we considered the environmental impact when putting this together and we are proud to say that the range is 100% Aussie made and fully recyclable,” says Woolworths Supermarkets Managing Director Claire Peters.

The Little Shop campaign paid off for Coles, with first quarter comparable food sales up 5.1%.

The campaign gave out free grocery miniatures collectibles for every $30 spent. They were a hit with children.
