For years, Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson had a bio – used in various places – that said he had a computer science degree that he does not have.At one point, while he was still at PayPal, Thompson was interviewed by NPR about this degree.

During this interview, Thompson does not come out and say he has a CS degree, but he doesn’t correct the interviewer when she says he does.

Now that NPR interviewer, TechNation host Moira Gunn, tells Kara Swisher that she recalls the two of them talking about his degree prior to the taping.

She says, “I could swear I talked to him about the bachelors in CS before we did the interview. Maybe in the elevator before the tape rolled.”

“The entire time I was conducting the interview, I was under the impression that Scott had a degree in Computer Science and considered himself to be an engineer.”
