Sarah Palin has been very quiet of late. Too quiet.
Especially considering Chris Christie‘s official opting out of the GOP race today (which contained not a few jabs in Palin’s direction).
She’s remained weirdly quiet on the whole Rogue book debacle.
The last Facebook note she wrote was on Sept. 28 and that was to wish Jewish people Happy New Year.
She also penned a note slamming Obama over the European debt crisis.
But that’s it since Sept 14.
Pretty normal fare.
Too normal, perhaps, particularly when you consider what she hasn’t weighed in on: Rick Perry, Immigration, the hunting camp scandal, or GOP audiences….all prime topics for a headline-making Palin going over. The newscycle is hers for the taking!
So what’s she up to?
Politico is reporting that a Palin-affiliated law firm has been making calls on behalf of a mystery candidate to a number of early primary states to determine presidential filing deadlines.
Perhaps now that Rick Perry is all but out of the race, Michele Bachmann is totally out, and Christie is for sure not getting in Palin sees a nice little spot on that GOP presidential stage to occupy for the next 9 months. Something the media will presumably be thrilled to hear: Romney is far too boring to keep the newscycle running for more than a day or two at best.
