WGA Strike Has Put 78,000 New Yorkers Out of Work

The strike has clobbered New York’s production industry, Crain’s says (via the Post), idling 4,000 businesses and 78,000 employees. The city itself has not yet released impact stats, but in 2001 it estimated that a WGA strike would cost a minimum of $625 million every three months.
