Tiger Woods met with the press today for this week’s Honda Classic. But it was clear early on that the reporters were much more interested in asking Tiger about the upcoming book written by his former coach, Hank Haney.
Each time a reporter brought up the book, Tiger would unleash that sarcastic grin of his and say “well, I have already talked about it.” When he was pressed, Tiger would just smile and not say anything.
Finally, the moderator spoke up saying “per Tiger’s comments, let’s keep the talk to golf.” But then Alex Miceli again asked Tiger about the book. After making it clear that he wasn’t going to answer the question, Tiger finally responds “you’re a beauty,” and then sarcastically tells him to “have a good day.”
Slowly but surely we are starting to see glimpses of the old Tiger Woods that didn’t take crap from anybody. Of course, old Tiger Woods also won golf tournaments, so we will have to wait and see if that part has also returned.
