A family on a caravan holiday captured footage of a “massive” crocodile dragging a cow away in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.

The video, posted to the Facebook page of Justin and Bec Lorrimer of Queensland, has been viewed more than 500,000 times.

“Out for a days barra fishing and we spot this HUGE CROCODILE dragging a cow down the river bank,” Justin writes.

“We follow him with the drone as he swims down the river with his lunch.”

The fishermen can be heard talking on the video, estimating the size of the “massive” crocodile at up to six metres.

They say they saw the crocodile drag the cow off the bank but weren’t quick enough to get footage.

Eventually the buzzing of the camera carrying drone gets to the crocodile, who swims away.

“An amazing display of how powerful these big creatures are,” he writes.
