On May 18 the top technology companies in NYC will open their doors to the general public. Here’s your chance to see where the Business Insider magic happens.WalkaboutNYC is a citywide open house event for technology companies. Curious New Yorkers can stop by and check out their workspaces, see how they work, and meet the people leading the technology movement in NYC.
We loved the idea of participating in this community event along with our fellow NYC techies. We’ve had our “Full Monty” and office tour posts in the past, so Walkabout NYC seemed like an excellent opportunity to let our fans look under the hood of BI.
The first WalkaboutNYC took place in 2010, and was the brainchild of Harvest co-founders Danny Wen and Shawn Liu. They have always drawn inspiration from exploring how other people work and from inviting others to visit their workspace and share their tools of the trade. The team at Harvest created WalkaboutNYC with two simple goals: to put New York City’s vibrant tech scene on the map and to inspire each other and the growing generation of entrepreneurs.
This year’s WalkaboutNYC takes place on May 18.
