Two Ugly Numbers From This Morning's Jobs Report

Overall the March jobs situation is a little better than people were expecting, with 216K new jobs created in the month.

But internally there are reasons to be bummed.

Two numbers stand out:

The average duration of unemployment jumped to 39 weeks in March, from 37.1 in February.

Wages, which had been improving a little bit, stalled out and were flat month over month.

Both show ongoing slack.
