Looking at a New York City subway or bus map gives the impression that people are constantly moving every which way, and this short video confirms it.
Using 24 hours of data, Canadian software company Sumus created the visualisation of every subway, bus, ferry, and train moving around the five boros, from 4am to 4am.
It’s pretty cool, and drives home the realisation that large public transportation networks are complicated, but can be beautiful.
