Serena Williams won the Olympics women’s tennis gold medal today with a win over Maria Sharapova. The win gives Serena the career “Golden Slam” having won all four Grand Slams as well as an Olympic gold medal.
And after she won the match, Williams celebrated with the C-Walk, also known as the Crip Walk, named for The Crips of Williams’ native Compton. And needless to say, it raised more than a few eyebrows on the interwebs. Of course, nowadays, even rich kids in The Hamptons do the C-Walk. So this is really just more “cool” than “controversy.”
