Earlier we posted the videos from the perspective of the protesters arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge.
They showed police walking in front of the protesters, as they entered the bridge.
But the NYPD also has a line: the protesters were warned by the cops, right up front, that entrance onto the bridge would get them arrested.
They released this video, which the NYT posted on YouTube
In defence of the protesters, we’re sure the vast majority did not hear the cop, but still. This shoots down the idea that the police purposely mislead protesters onto the roadway. And the chants of “Take The Bridge” shoot down the notion that the protesters thought there actions were not going to be quite disruptive.
