Here's the moment Greek neo-Nazis barged into a conference at the European Parliament

Politicians and their assistants from the fascist Greek political party Golden Dawn barged into a conference on minority rights being held in the European Parliament.

The conference on Wednesday was set up to discuss ethnic Turks living in the Thrace province of northern Greece.

Led by MEPs Lampros Fountoulis and Eleftherios Synadinos, the Golden Dawn members walked into the room where the conference was being held and started shouting at the delegates.

Fountoulis screamed: “I am here to protect Greece… There is no Turkish minority.”

While most of the people in the room sat quietly and looked at the floor, Romanian MEP Csaba Sógor stood up to the far-right group, telling them “you have to respect the rules of this Parliament. Go out now if you cannot be decent and civilised.”

Golden Dawn became the third biggest Greek political party represented in the European Parliament after they secured 9% of the vote in 2014.

A post on a Golden Dawn-affiliated website claims Muslims in Thrace are planning to help Turkey rebuild a Neo-Ottoman empire.
