Metta World Peace, the athlete formerly known as Ron Artest, sat down with Conan O’Brien last night for his first lengthy interview since being suspended for hitting James Harden in the head with a vicious elbow.
During the interview, World Peace says that he did check in on Harden through a third-party because he wants to maintain his “Hulk” in case the two have to face each other in the playoffs. He also indicates that he waited a few days to check on Harden because World Peace thought Harden might have flopped.
But maybe the most bizarre part of the interview is when Artest says he doesn’t understand the criticism from former players, calling his own game “retro.”
