The giggly juror accused of flirting with John Edwards during his trial is sticking up for herself.
Denise Speight sat down with CBS News to explain that alternate jurors wore colour-coordinated outfits every day of the trial and that Edwards’ was just generally smiley during testimony.
And the only reason he looked over and smiling at the alternates was because of the outfits. He definitely wasn’t looking just at her and she wasn’t flirting with him, she said.
“I am giggly,” Speight told CBS News. “So, but that’s my personality. Im not giggly towards anyone particular in the courtroom.”
But even if she had been giggling in purpose, it wouldn’t have been at Edwards.
“Well he’s a Democrat,” she said. “That counts him out for me already.”
