Think being a supermodel is all fun parties and fancy clothes?Then think again.
Brazilian supermodel and veteran Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima had a frank talk with the Telegraph about her training regimen for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show, which is coming up in a few weeks.
Bottom line—it sounds miserable. There’s lots of liquid, lots of lifting, and not much solid food.

- The physical training is brutal. For the past three weeks, Lima has been working out twice a day. She boxes, jumps rope, and lifts weights.
- During training, Lima drinks a gallon of water a day. For the nine days before the show, she drinks only protein shakes that contain powdered egg—no solids.
- Right before the show, Lima “dries out.” Two days prior, she’ll drink regularly, and starting 12 hours before, she’ll cut liquids entirely. The process can cause models to drop eight pounds, Lima told the Telegraph.
Sounds like a lot of work to sport a $2.5 million, diamond-covered bra like the one Miranda Kerr, another Angel, recently debuted.
