Verizon is introducing a service called HomeFusion, a wireless broadband system for rural areas that don’t have access to cable or DSL service, AP reports. The game-changing aspect of HomeFusion is that 4G LTE users see faster internet speeds than people on a conventional wired internet connection, sometimes as high as 70 megabits per second.

It’s the same type of connection that Verizon’s 4G LTE smartphones run on.

This is all made possible with the installation of an antenna on the outside of a house. It’s the size of a five-gallon bucket and it’ll cost you $200.

After that, $60 per month will get you 10 GB of data. If you need more, there’s 20 GB for $90 or 30 GB for $120. Overage charges are $10 per gigabyte.
