We can’t look anywhere in Silicon Valley without finding someone with a personal or professional link to the players in the Ellen Pao gender-discrimination lawsuit against her employer, venture-capital firm Kleiner Perkins. We noticed that Ellen Pao and her husband, asset manager Alphonse “Buddy” Fletcher Jr., sold their condo in the St. Regis tower in March. Their neighbour is Kleiner Perkins partner Al Gore, the former vice president. Pao’s lawsuit alleges that women partners were deliberately excluded from parties held at a partner’s condo in her building.

Pao and Gore are still coworkers. But they’re no longer neighbours.

Real-estate sites based on public records show that Pao and Fletcher listed their apartment for sale in November and sold it to tech entrepreneur Venky Harinarayan and his wife in March 2012 for $3.8 million—$55,000 less than they paid in 2008.

Harinarayan sold a search company, Kosmix, to Walmart Stores in 2011. In the first dotcom boom, he had a hit with a shopping search engine, Junglee, which he sold to

He now runs Walmart Labs, a division of Walmart based in the Bay Area.

(By the way, Harinarayan shaved off the mustache in February. His wife made him do it, he said on Twitter. If you have a more recent photo, send it our way.)
