Strapped US Consumers Cut Back on Vacation

CareerBuilder says 15% of workers gave up vacation days in 2007; one in four workers plan to work on vacation; and 9% said their bosses expect them to stay in contact or do work over vacation. So that’s where those apparently impressive productivity numbers came from.
