The US Men’s National Soccer Team has announced they have called off their next friendly against Egypt, which was scheduled to be played in Cairo on February 9.
Probably because of the whole, you know … revolution thing.
The good news is that this leaves Egyptian soccer fans more time to concentrate on leading the protests. As you can imagine, they are particularly adept at things like organising large crowds, forming human chains, and fighting police officers.
It’s good to know that skills of die hard sports fans translate so easily to trying to overthrow a government.
