The Marine Corps had an active 2017. Among their many accomplishments, Marine units were responsible for massive artillery barrages that helped defeat the terrorist group ISIS in Raqqa, Syria, tested a fully autonomous helicopter. and graduated their first female infantry officer. Marines also participated in air and ground exercises around the world.
