CHART: America Doesn't Need As Much Energy To Grow

One of the underappreciated stories in the U.S. these days is its rising energy efficiency.  In a recent special report titled The Raging Bull Thesis, Citigroup’s Tobias Levokovich pointed to increasing energy independence as a reason to be optimistic about America in the long run.

In line with this theme, Bloomberg BRIEF economist Michael McDonough just published this chart showing how the U.S. (and China) is becoming less reliant on energy as GDP grows.
