US AUTO SALES: Honda Sales Surge 23% But Toyota Disappoints

U.S. automakers are reporting their sales numbers for March today.

Companies are expected to post sales of 1.24 million cars and trucks for the month.

Here is a roundup so far:

  • General Motors: U.S. sales for March are up 11.4%; retail sales up 17% for the same period, via Phil LeBeau
  • Ford: U.S. sales are up 19.2% for March; monthly sales are up 56% versus February, via Phil LeBeau
  • Chrysler: U.S. sales for March are up 31.4%, via Phil LeBeau.
  • Nissan: U.S. sales for March are up 26.9%; Nissan Division sales are up 28.4% for the month, via Phil LeBeau.
  • Toyota: U.S. sales for March are down 5.7%; sales are up 25% since February, via WSJ. 
  • Honda: U.S. sales for March are up 23%; sales are up 36% since February, via WSJ.
  • Subaru: U.S. sales for March are up 17%, via PR Newswire.

GM, Ford and Toyota’s shares are all up today. Honda and Nissan are both in the red.
