Most expensive yachts seem to be comparable to supermodels. They look great, but when you try and make them do some heavy lifting they cower in fear. But Ulysses$49 million asking price gets you a yacht that can actually explore the Earth from end to end.

Finished in 2006, she has a range of 6,000 nautical miles (6,900 regular miles to you land based folk) and can accommodate a helicopter, waverunners, and a five person submarine.

It is basically the ultimate way to see the entire world.

Ulysses looks fit to break through any obstacles that might stand in her way. She is not the Titanic.

If we're honest, we'd prefer to keep Ulysses in an idyllic environment where the locals have never actually seen snow.

There is plenty of room for relaxing on the ship.

But not on the bow. That's where all the toys are hidden.

Does it have a helipad? Why yes, yes it does.

Cranes on board get the extra large tenders and dinghies onto the bow of the ship with no issues.

The rugged exterior gives way to a much more elegant interior.

We like the chrome accents and white furniture against the dark woods.

We aren't so sure about the floor here. What exactly is going on?

Dining rooms on ships seem to be fit for a royal reception. We imagine this is the room on the ship that is never actually used.

Talk about a large master stateroom. This is the ultimate expression of opulence.
