Uber, a personal car service startup, launched just one month ago in New York City. Many scoffed that Manhattan was the last place on earth in need of more transportation. But it looks like Uber’s having the last laugh. It has found a niche among wealthy New Yorkers who seek luxury and convenience.

At a startup dinner last night, Uber cofounder Travis Kalanick told us the top NYC Uber user is a musician who writes songs for pop’s biggest names. That user spends $1,500 per week on the startup’s service.

That comes out to $6,000 per month. To use Kalanick’s own made-up word, that’s “Ledonk” (legitimately/ridiculous).
