Zynga Is Bleeding Gamers Ahead Of IPO

Zynga’s number of players fell to 230 million, down from the 232 million that the company reported when it first filed to go public in July, according to a new filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.That number includes both the number of users on its Facebook games and its players on iOS, Android and other mobile devices.

Zynga has also launched its games in 9 new countries, according to the filing.

Zynga made $12.5 million in the third quarter this year — down 54 per cent from $27 million in the third quarter last year — off $307 million in revenue.
