Twitter's Original iPhone Developer Flies The Coop

Loren Brichter — the developer behind Tweetie, an iPhone app that would go on to become Twitter’s flagship app — has left Twitter.

Brichter made his announcement in a Tweet Friday night.

Twitter purchased Atebits, the company behind Tweetie he founded in 2007, in April last year. Tweetie won Apple’s design award in 2009.
