At the Wired Business Conference, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo said that the company’s business “is working phenomenally well.” As always, and frustratingly, he declined to share some numbers; however it is still worth noting as a very strong statement. (“Phenomenally well” is not a mere platitude.)We have been arguing for a while that Twitter is quietly building a big business. According to a Q1 survey by ad aggregator TBG Digital, Twitter’s average CPM is $3.50, high for a social network site (much higher than Facebook, for example).
