An NBA Star Will Play In France For $2,000 A Month During The Lockout

Tony Parker plans to play for a Nancy-based French team during the NBA lockout for $1,995, the AP reports.Parker, who is French, will play for ASVEL starting October 14 in Paris.

“I’ll be playing nearly for free … If I play the entire season, we’ll go for the title,” he said.

Parker is a vice president and shareholder of the club, according to L’Equipe.

He’ll join Portland player Nicolas Batum on the team.
