'Kinky Boots' Leads The Tony Award Nominations, But Many Celebs Get Snubbed

Kinky Boots Broadway play‘Kinky Boots’ got 13 nods, but many celebs were snubbed.

The nominations were just announced for the 67th annual Tony Awards, which take place on June 9.

New Broadway musical “Kinky Boots” (based on the 2005 film, with new lyrics by Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein) led the pack with 13 nominations, while “Matilda” had 12 nominations in many of the same categories.

Tom Hanks got a nod for Nora Ephron’s “Lucky Guy,” but among those snubbed were Bette Midler, Alec Baldwin, Jessica Chastain, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson, and Al Pacino.
