Missouri Rep. and Senate candidate Todd Akin released a new television ad this morning apologizing to Missouri voters for his comments about rape and pregnancy on Sunday, but it won’t likely be enough to stop the calls for him to drop out of the Senate race against Claire McCaskill.
Akin has until 5 p.m. Tuesday to drop out of the race. Will he do so? Meanwhile, what are the reverberations of Akin’s comments up and down the Republican ticket?
