Tim Tebow’s roller coaster season reached a second high yesterday when the Broncos killed the Raiders 38-24.Tebow raked up over 100 yards rushing, and also threw for two TDs without turning the ball over.
He still stunk passing. But Denver figured out that they need to simplify their offence and tailor it to Tebow’s skill set, and it paid off.
Raiders defensive lineman Tommy Kelly wasn’t all that impressed:
“They have been running the same thing since they put (Tebow) in there. They (were) running that college (stuff), that zone (stuff), read it, quarterback gonna hold it (sighs). Man, we practiced that (stuff) all week. Not like they came out there with some new package or scheme.”
Amazingly, Tebow has the Broncos just one game out of the leaders in the AFC West.
Tebow was decent against Miami, terrible against Detroit, and good yesterday. So the pattern suggests he’ll fall on his face next week in Kansas City.
But for now, the Tebow bandwagon is back on the move.
