Tiger Woods continues to try and get his career back on track. But he won’t be able to do it this week in the final tournament of the 2011 World Golf Championships, a tournament he did not qualify for.Tiger has dominated the four legs of the WGC. In the 36 WGC tournaments that Woods has played in, he has 16 wins. However, none of those wins have come at the HSBC Champions, which has only been part of the WGC since 2009.
Woods has seen his ranking fall to number 56 in the world. If Tiger’s ranking falls much further, he will also be in danger of missing the first leg of the 2012 WGC. Only the top 64 golfers in the world are eligible for the Accenture Match Play Championship in February, a tournament Tiger has won three times.
