Once you’re able to wrap your head around this year’s 1040, you’ll likely be scratching your head and wondering where all that money is going.

The annual federal budget is $3.5 trillion, according to Mango Financial, and a big chunk of that cash goes toward funding our defence, Social Security and health insurance.

But what about the kids and our education system? With college loan debts skyrocketing, it’s certainly a question worth asking.
