This Hilarious Video Shows What It Would Really Be Like To Wear Google's Computerized Glasses, Ads And All

While most people are freaking out about Google’s plan to create computerized glasses—an endeavour called Project Glass—Jonathan McIntosh has created a video that shows what the augmented reality would really be like, ads and all.

“Because let’s face it,” McIntosh writes, “Google really is just a massive advertising company at heart.

McIntosh took Google’s demonstration video—which has already been parodied—and superimposed real Google ads from AdWords search results based on the dialog, location, or situation in the original video.

The future of computerized glasses looks a lot less cool when ads for a book about feminine issues called “What’s Up Down There?” could pop up whenever someone asks “What’s up?”
