The Macallan, the self-proclaimed “last word in luxury” for whisky, has joined forces with Annie Leibovitz to create limited edition, custom labelled malts. And it wouldn’t be luxurious if it didn’t cost $2,750 a pop—which is justified by the fact that only 1,000 were made.As a part of the company’s “Masters of Photography Series,” Leibovitz shot four different photographs that represent New York City. One shows a man lounging in his library filled with leather-bound books.
Macallan’s blog boasts that “each bottle contains one of four unique single malts, crafted to reflect the mood of the signed Annie Leibovitz print that it is paired with.”
