What, you think billionaires are going to sit in the ER waiting room at all hours of the night?
Meet David Greuner, a slick, handsome heart surgeon who oversees and dispatches a group of doctors who will come to your home at any hour of the night. Of course, they’ll also keep things discrete. The tabloids won’t find out about the heir who overdosed.
Such was the case with two sons of a billionaire Saudi sheik, who overdosed on “illegal stimulants.” The New York Post explains Greuner received a call, and dispatched doctors to treat them. The same has gone for famous athletes and others in the know who can afford the service.
It sounds like a smart idea, and frankly something we’re not all that surprised to hear exists. While Greuner’s clients probably love the idea, the police might not. Law requires doctors to report any injuries caused by a weapon. It doesn’t appear that Greuner’s people would do so.
But what about…other medical services people might want to keep discrete? Plastic surgeons for example? Yes. Botox house calls are also on the roster.
And no, silly, they don’t accept insurance.
