organised shoplifting affects 96 per cent of retailers, according to the National Retail Federation.They did a survey of 125 loss-prevention executives in May and found the most commonly-shoplifted items. Chronic shoplifters try to steal high-margin items they can put up for online auction, sell to pawn shops or return for a full refund.
Here are the items retailers reported were most commonly targeted:
-Diabetic testing strips
-Weight loss pills
-Electronic toothbrushes and replacement heads
-Lotions and creams
-Kitchen Aid mixers
