The Amazon Prime Day sales are upon us and there are a lot to sift through. From gaming consoles to cameras, Prime Day is here to metaphorically bleed you dry.
To help you navigate the mayhem, we’ve attempted to whittle it down to some of the best, most useful offerings on hand. Without further ado, here are some of the best tech deals you’ll find on Amazon’s two-day bargain bonanza.
Among some of the most heavily discounted entries in the sale are Amazon’s own products with their smart devices. If you’d like Alexa to infiltrate your life, now’s the time to invest with their Amazon Echo Plus being flogged for 50 per cent off at $114.50 (it also comes with a free Philips Hue bulb) and the third-generation Echo Dot for $39.
Once you’ve grabbed yourself a smart device like a Google Home or an Amazon Echo, why not deck your home out with smart lights. Philips’ Hue series is heavily discounted with their starter kit going for $129.90, half of the usual price. If you’d rather not hassle with the setup of having an entire apartment or house, opt for their smart lamp offering, the Hue Go, for $75.40.
If you haven’t scored yourself an eighth generation gaming console yet you can nab one for pretty cheap with the Prime Day sale. The PlayStation 4 is available from $285 for the entry-level while an Xbox One X bundle is on going for $485.
If you’ve been eyeing a VR gaming set, now’s the time as the PlayStation VR‘s on offer for $222 while the Oculus Rift is available from $239.
Now you’ve got your new gaming console, it’s time to purchase some games along with it. Selected PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games will receive a 10 per cent discount at checkout but the standouts are Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 going for an insane $19.98.
If you’re looking to up your Switch collection, some classics are also included in the sales. Mario Kart Deluxe 8, Pokémon: Let’s Go and Super Mario Odyssey are all going for $46.50 while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available for $51.75.
Personal care appliances
Been on the look out for some quality grooming products but shy away from the exorbitant prices? Thankfully, shaving kits and hair straighteners are included in the sales.
Braun shaving kits and clippers are facing 40 per cent off with electric shavers all under $200. The price of GHD hair straighteners has also been knocked off a bit with the Original Styler going for $139.99 and its bigger sibling, the Gold Professional Styler, being offered for $197.99.
