There Was Not A Single Day When Stocks Fell 1% In January

We’ll have the full monthly tally for January stock market performance when the market closes in an hour, but for now we’d like to tease this little fact.

There wasn’t a single day in January where the S&P 500 fell by more than 1%. The last such day was December 28.

According to Eddy Elfenbein, on twitter, there were 48 such days, in 2011.
