Capturing the perfect photo of a destination while on holiday has become an increasingly important part of the journey for a traveller, thanks to the proliferation of social media.
Virtuoso, a global luxury travel network, with 16,000 advisors and agencies worldwide, held its annual Travel Week in Las Vegas. As part of the conference it announced the winners of its Virtuoso photo contest, in which both advisors and visitors submit their favourite snaps of beautiful experiences they have had.
From more than 3,500 entries that were submitted, here are the winners.
GRAND PRIZE WINNER: Advisor Maria Paradisis from SmartFlyer Australia with her image titled, “Bucket List” shot in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro
FIRST PRIZE WINNER: Advisor Rodrigo Garza from Lozano Travel de Mexico with his image titled, “Behind the Windows” shot in Algiers, Algeria.
SECOND PRIZE WINNER: Advisor Sarah Bender from Bender Travel, an independent affiliate of The Travel Society in the USA with her image titled, “Starry Night” shot in Queenstown, New Zealand.
THIRD PRIZE WINNER: Advisor Areli Guzman from Viajes Terranova in Costa Rica with her image titled, “Good luck bells” shot in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
FIRST PRIZE WINNER: Dorothy Thompson with her image titled, “Impromptu Market” shot in Hell-Ville, Madagascar.
SECOND PLACE WINNER: Isabel Harris with her image titled, “Lake Como with Kids!” shot in Lake Como, Italy.
THIRD PLACE WINNER: Dale Davis with his image titled, “Rhine Reflection” shot in Rhine Gorge, Germany.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD: Rosario Lanusse with her image titled, “Rwanda” shot in Rwanda, Africa.
