LONDON — A dossier detailing allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour by Conservative MPs and Cabinet ministers has been circulating in Westminster. Business Insider has seen the unredacted document, which details claims against a number of senior figures in Theresa May’s government.
The claims are mostly unverified. Much of it falls into the category of private acts between consenting adults. However, some of the claims are serious. Several cabinet-level politicians are named on the list, including some household names. Three of the accused people on the list are women.
Here’s what it contains, minus any identifying information.
Most of the document concerns MPs acting inappropriately towards members of staff, MPs, journalists and others. One senior figure is described as being “handsy at parties” while another is described as “perpetually intoxicated and very inappropriate with women.” Others are accused of harassing researchers and junior members of staff, with one MP allegedly attempting to take three female aides away on holiday.
One minister, Mark Garnier, has already admitted to asking a member of staff to buy sex toys for him, while also referring to her as “sugar t—-,” while former minister Stephen Crabb has admitted engaging in “sexual chatter” with a 19-year-old applying for a job with him.
The document also details allegations that ministers and MPs have attempted to conceal the revelations. The sheet claims that one minister has an injunction against him, while another is the subject of a non-disclosure agreement with a researcher. One former minister is accused of paying a woman “to be quiet,” while another allegedly pressured a woman into having an abortion.
The document reveals a number of alleged affairs between members of the government as well as alleged “odd sexual acts” by senior figures. A video of one of these acts is allegedly circulating in Westminster.
