The skittish iron ore trade continued overnight

The choppy price action in the spot iron ore price continued overnight, albeit with less volatility seen in previous sessions, with the price for 62% fines falling 34 cents, or 0.61%, to $55.29 a tonne according Metal Bulletin.

Keeping with the skittish movements in the spot price, Dalian iron ore futures rallied overnight with the most actively traded January 2016 contract rising 1.51% to 370.5 yuan.

Trading in Dalian gets back underway at 11am AEST.
