A version of Edvard Munch’s iconic painting, “The Scream” sold at Sotheby’s tonight for just under $120 million, The New York Times reports. That’s the highest price for a painting ever set by an auction house.
Previous estimates suggested the famous pastel artwork could fetch anywhere from $80 million to $200 million.
