A drug bust at a Bronx apartment this afternoon revealed a massive pot farm using enough electricity to power a city block, MyFoxNY reports.
NYPD representatives said they found a total of 593 marijuana-growing plants—some up to 7 feet tall.
Cops estimated that the approximately half-ton of pot had a $7.5 million street value. The operation was capable of producing 50 to 60 pounds of the drug per month.
Police arrested Brian Munoz, 24, Diego Reyes, 25, and Victor Reyes, 23, all of the Bronx, and charged them with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, first-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
