Ferrari is going after the family guy — it’s just released its first ever four-wheel drive, which has enough trunk space for golf clubs and, with the seats down, skis.
The four seat FF will “target wealthy families and golf bag- toting sports-car enthusiasts” — aka, bankers with babies — according to Bloomberg and will cost $359,000.
Ferrari is excited because now its clients can finally take the family skiing!
We’re excited because Ferrari has recorded the sound of the car revving and posted it on the FF site for our enjoyment. Amazing. You can choose to listen to the car start; to a high-speed drive-by; and to the sportscar “cornering.”
At the Geneva Auto Show, where the car was officially revealed, the chairman of the Ferrari owner’s club Passione Rossa said, “Four-wheel drive is a revolution for Ferrari owners. You can finally drive a real Ferrari, with its extreme performance, to take your family skiing.”
Here are the car’s vitals: 660-horsepower; accelerates to 62 miles an hour in 3.7 seconds; has a 15.9 cubic feet trunk (enough for the luggage of four people, or a couple of golf bags…) that can be extended with the two back seats pushed down.
The Chairman of Ferrari said the new model is “a different Ferrari for different Ferrari owners. This is a Ferrari that can be used for families and for long trips.”
