The casts of The Lion King and Aladdin had an epic sing-off after flights were cancelled in New York

The musical adaptations of Disney’s The Lion King and Aladdin have been massive hits on stage across the world. But on Thursday night the casts filled a venue of a different kind with their songs.

After flights out of New York’s LaGuardia airport was cancelled due to bad weather, the two musical groups had a sing-off to pass the time – and entertain fellow passengers.

The Lion King cast belted out a stunning rendition of “The Circle of Life”, while the cast of Aladdin sang “Arabian Nights”.

Passengers flooded social media with photos and videos of the old-school battle of the ballads.

It’s not the first time the Lion King cast have a had real-life Disney moment.

Last year they flash-mobbed a New York subway car.
